  Lack of onsite fitness centre a bit of disappointment and on suggested running route maps either. dinner was nice, although would have been good if restaurant a bit fuller - ambiance. breakfast good with lots of choice. 2 minor things (1) we arrived part way through breakfast slot and some of fresh fruit gone from buffet and it wasn't refilled, even by the time we left, (2) coffee was 'warm' not 'hot' so we and another table had to ask for 2nd cups. lovely big rooms though. would have appreciated free wifi.

  When a hotel has a check out time of 11am, it would seem sensible to ensure the lanscape gardeners don't arrive to blow leaves away and mow the lawns from 8am. a very rude (and loud)awakening when the most important aspect of a hotel is for the guests to get a good nights sleep.

  On arrival of taplow house hotel, check in was very straight forward and professional. i had booked especially a room with a four poster bed and on entering room 10 was very disappointed to find that there was a normal double bed in the room. after a chat with the manager it was arranged for my partner and i to be moved to another room with a four poster bed. the service was excellent and the problem was resolved efficiently.
