  2011-09-07 - Margaret Jackson - Average mark given to hotel :7/10  
  Our room was very tiny. bed was pushed against wall and bathroom very small. very noisy first night as we discovered that the room was above an underground rail line plus noise from above as they were restoring upper floors (we were on ground floor).. we requested another room the next day and were placed on first floor . room was a bit bigger but still experienced noise from restoration works and had no air in room as window was just below the ceiling. bathroom again very tidy. beds were clean and very comfortable. other visitors were also complaining about the size of the room they were allocated when they arrived and also some did not have any windows in room and requested they be moved to a larger room. the hotel seemed to be very popular and was very handy to shops, restaurants and tube stations & bus stops. i would stay there again but next time have a larger room

  We were in room 324 and the paint on the window sill was peeling, the wallpaper was also falling off. the shower was not clean either.

  Il a fallu changer de chambres 3 fois, le métro passé sous les chambres et en 1er il nous a été proposé des chambres sans fenetres, ce qui est une abération moquette très vétuste, sale et tâchée!!!!

  La 1ere chambe, pour plus de 200gbp/nuit, 3 personnes, etait situee au sous-sol, avec une fenetre qui donnait sur un mur dans la cour interieure, donc pas de lumiere ou de l'air, la cour pleine de dechets, donc ce qu'on pouvais voir par la fenetre c'etait vraiment un mur gris a 50cm de notre fenetre. comme la chambe etait au sous-sol, il y faisat froid et, compte tenant du fait qu'en angleterre les salles de bain sont pas souvent rechauffees, il a ete pratiquement pas possible de prendre un douche, car la temperature dans la salle de bain au sous-sol etait proche de celle dans la rue. la 2eme nuit on a demande un changement de chambre, donc on a recu un chambre au 3eme etage, avec une salle de bain minuscule, completement vetuste. un des trois lits etait situe dans le couloir de la chambre, colle a la porte d'entree, et donc sans fenetres ou lumiere. tout ca pour un prix de approx 196gbp/nuit pour 3 pers.

  La première nuit, on nous avait donné une chambre dans le sous-sol: elle était froide, humide et ça ne sentait pas bon. on a pu changer de chambre le lendemain, chambre au 3e étage, ok, sauf la moquette. le lit était bon, même dans la première chambre. petit déjeuner, bon pour le rapport qualité/prix. personnel gentil et compétent. accueil sympha.

  Hôtel très confortable et propre. le personnel est chaleureux et la situation géographique est excellente. sur une note de 10 je mettrai 9 sur 10. si je retourne à londres, ce sera dans cet hôtel.

  Hotel vieux, chambre miniscule (317), moquette tres sale, salle d'eau microscopique, rideaux sales. je ne comprends pas que l'on fasse payer 100€ ttc pour une telle chambre meme si l'emplacement est bien. a deconseiller vivement

  Room far too small for 6ft bed. no communication with any staff except housekeeping staff doing the rooms. every sound on corridor audible in the bedroom. tea at breakfast was awful. the water wasn't boiled before tea was made. some people were having full breakfast and when i asked could i also get full breakfast i was told i was only entitled to continental as that's what i paid for. i did point out that the ads in the reception area priced all breakfasts the same but the decision was still the same.

  Dommage, car l'hôtel est bien situé. les chambres sont trop petites, et le personnel bruyants. que dire de l'amabilité de la direction de l'hôtel qui vous pousse pour rentrer quand vous voulez sortir!

  Première chambre spacieuse mais avec 2 lits simples donc nous avons demandé une chambre avec lit double et celle ci était tres petite avec mini salle de bain. un rafraichissement serait bien lit confortable, personnel gentil et serviable, wifi gratuit, bien desservi par bus et metro, très proche du centre, toute commodités a proximité.

  Une isolation phonique serait certainement bénéfique tant pour les vacanciers que pour la réputation de l'hôtel. si la proximité immédiate du métro est appréciable pour tout voyageur souhaitant visiter la capitale, le bruit et les vibrations causés par cette même proximité sont susceptibles d'en contrarier plus d'un ! pour ma part, je savais à quoi m'en tenir en partant et mes journées étaient tellement riches et variées sur le plan touristique, que je revenais à l'hôtel complètement épuisée... je m'endormais d'un sommeil lourd et profond et n'ai donc pas réellement souffert de cette nuisance.

  Notre chambre était située en conre-bas lower ground donc vue néant. de plus elle donnait sur la rue, donc très bruyante ..... on entendait tout ce qui se passait dehors : camions poubelles tôt le matin du coup, le prix de la chambre est excessif !!!!!

  The hotel was very close to the bayswater subwaystation giving quick acess to central london. the resturant was ok but boring and quiet but had certanly very good value for money food , the breakfast beffet was good. the room i had could do with a facelift and the staff forgot to replenish coffe etc .. nither did the hotel free wifi work in the room . the staff was friendly and polite .

  Gave me room early at 9.30am. very clean and warm room. comfortable bed and clean fluffy towels. free wifi is good plus point and very near 2 tube stations. also free luggage storage and safe deposit box. overall staff are well trained and professional.

  Notre chambre était vraiment petite, il faisait froid dans la salle de bains (mauvaise isolation au niveau de la petite vitre) et on entendait fort la sonnerie de l'ascenseur proche et les pas dans la chambre au-dessus.

  Les peintures étaient très usées et écaillées dans la salle de bain et dans la chambre (boiseries et murs) et la fenêtre était très abimée. au vu du prix affiché de la chambre 160£ on est en droit d'attendre un niveau d'entretien supérieur. malgré tout la chambre était confortabe et la literie très bonne. un bon séjour.

  It took us half an hour to find our room. we had to lug our lugguage twice up and down the elevator before we were directed to another staircase down the basement with no elevator. it was frustrating.

  Pour la première nuit, nous avions une chambre (309) où il y avait un fort bruit de ventilation et la chambre était petite et pas très propre. le lendemain après avoir signalé ces faits, la manager nous a proposé directement une autre chambre pour le reste de notre séjour, celle-ci correspondait à nos désirs.

  On a eu l'impression d'avoir une chambre de très basse qualité parce qu'on avait réservé sur internet à un prix très bas (75 euros) par rapport à ce qu'ils font payer d'habitude (240euros). la chambre faisait en tout avec la salle de bains 12m2; autant dire qu'il ne fallait pas être obèse! de plus, notre chambre était juste sur la rame de métro et le chauffage était en panne. grosse déception!

  Notre chambre au premier étage était épargnée du bruit du métro. quelques problemes d'isolation(porte fenêtre ) et salle de bain tres petite. mais dans l'ensemble tres bon rapport qualité prix et la proximité ( métro, hyde park, centre ville ...) n'a pas de prix !!!

  This hotel was a very pleasant surprise! excellent location close to queensway in the bayswater area. helpful staff, good hotel layout, speedy lift and superb continental breakfast. the hotel is in a noisy area with lots of traffic (vehicles & people) outside. that's the only downside.

  Bracket to keep window curtain open was broken. bathroom was extremely good - large, clean, and modern, the best feature of the room. woodwork of the original room (that is, the part other than the bathroom) was worn. hallway access to the room, carrying a large suitcase, was quite difficult. breakfast service was very good (i had the continential breakfast). nice to get the free newspapers and time out and to have access to internet. very convenient to two undergound lines.

  Qualität des frühstücks und auch das entsprechende frühstücksservice war sehr schlecht. habe aber gerade in london in den letzten jahren die erfahrung gemacht, dass dies in sehr vielen hotels inzwischen so ist.

  Wir wurden im souterrain untergebracht, möglicherweise, weil wir raucher sind. der teppichboden und polster der sitzmöbel waren sehr ungepflegt, das bett wiederum sehr sauber. das kontinentale frühstücksbuffet war sehr ansprechend! wir planen im nächsten jahr einen erneuten aufenthalt, zumal in der parallelstrasse gute einkaufsmöglichkeiten für selbstversorger und eine u-bahn-station vorhanden sind. die unmittelbare nähe des kensington gardens/hyde parks ermöglichen einen sehr schnellen zugang zu wunderschönen parkanlagen, die den lärm der großstadt vergessen lassen.

  Cet hôtel est très bien situé, près de deux bouches de métro et c'est son plus grand avantage. quant au reste nous avons trouvé le prix élevé pour la qualité offerte. nous sommes conscients que pour des canadiens les prix à londres sont très élevés, il faut 2,40 dollars pour une livre. compte tenu de cela nous avons eu un agréable séjour malgré tout. londres est une ville magnifique.
